Cold Temps MLK Weekend in NC Mountains

The mountains are preparing for snow and cold temperatures this weekend. Weather conditions are not expected to deter crowds.

The MLK holiday is often one of the biggest weekends for the winter economy and this year will be no different. Covid-19 restrictions limit store operating hours and occupancy rates but officials say that business will still be booming this year. Ski areas are advising people to check websites and buy lift tickets early. Many resorts and other lodging is booked up in most areas.
